During the recent WEX (Water Energy Exchange) Conference in Istanbul, Turkey during February 23-25, our EVC & MD, Mr Richard Menezes, was invited to chair a session on The Middle East Business Development Forum and also present a paper on his views covering the following topics:
- Changes and developments in regulation, policies and privatisation strategies
- Guaranteeing the security and supply of water and energy resources to meet the demands of population and industry by improving interconnection between countries
- Investment in the development of sustainable, alternative and renewable technologies
- Developments in desalination and its role in addressing the sustainability challenges
The audience appreciated his vision and ideas on the Utico business model for establishing and providing Utility services, and admired his initiative in treading on a path not considered before.
